Job Description Summary

Responsible for building Hydro-Gear units in high volumes while maintaining quality standards and fulfilling a daily goal that meets our customer’s needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install parts in specified relationship to each other as outlined in training and Hydro-Gear documentation
  • Operate equipment such as hand and torque tools, presses, washers, and functional test stands in a fast paced environment
  • Maintain accuracy while assembling Hydro-Gear products at different workstations and assembly lines
  • Stock and set up assigned work station according to set-up sheet and line documentation
  • Provide assistance to other work stations and co-workers when needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
  • Consistently at work on time and correctly utilizes time keeping system
  • Follow instructions, respond to management direction, commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals, and complete tasks on time

Education and/or Experience

  • Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • This position requires that individuals be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally
