Job Description Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide excellent customer service to employees, interpret company policies, analyze employee data, and implement improvement projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support employee and department day-to-day needs
  • Maintain and interpret company policies
  • Lead internal investigations
  • Research, analyze, and report employee-related data (ie turnover, absenteeism, compensation, hiring, etc)
  • Conduct projects to improve employee-related metrics
  • Serve as back-up for FMLA and other LOA management

Education and/or Experience

  • B.A. / B.S. Degree from a 4-year college or university
  • At least 5 years of experience in an HR department
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus 
  • Key skills include knowledge of human resources fundamentals, computer skills, communication skills
  • Attributes desired are: caring about people, positive attitude, initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
