Recall Details

Hydro-Gear is recalling certain hydrostatic transaxles used in various riding mowers due to injury risk to the operator.

Hydro-Gear has identified a limited number of transaxles manufactured late in 2010 whose drive gear may fail causing the drive system to lose the ability to brake effectively, posing an injury risk to the consumer.

Consumers that have mowers with these suspect transaxles should stop using the product immediately and arrange a service appointment for a free transaxle replacement.

Hydro-Gear named Supplier of the Year

For the second straight year, Hydro-Gear has been awarded the supplier of the year award from the Ariens Company. Vendors selected for the award are considered "elite" suppliers of which there are very few. The award was presented to Hydro-Gear representatives recently at a vendor dinner and awards banquet hosted by the Ariens Company as part of the Gravely Dealer Summit.  Hydro-Gear has been fortunate to participate in the Dealer Event each year since it began in 2000.

Hydro-Gear, located in Sullivan, IL, was recently recognized by John Deere for achieving its partner level status in Deere's Achieving Excellence program.
